    The pmu-4e, power driven rotary vacuum pump is an independent, self-contained unit; it consists of a rotary vacuum pump driven by an explosion proof electric motor and explosion proof control equipment mounted on a four castered mobile base with attached handle for manually moving the equipment; a six foot length of flexible servicing hose with storage tank adapter is supplied for use in connecting the vacuum pump to the vacuum pump to the storage tank being evacuated; the vacuum pump is designed primarily for evacuating the vacuum tight annular insulating space of liquid oxygen or nitrogen storage tank to an absolute pressure of five microns or less; the unit is constructed for that repairs may be accomplished by operating personnel
